Description
This project is, in some kinds, a continuity of the 'Renommeur' whose it is advised to consult
priorly information.
Following the adoption and the evolution of the first application the 'Renommeur', I decided to launch this project of
greater scale, in Open source, at the end of 2003.
On the one hand, in order to allow the interested people to take part more directly in its evolution, and on the other
hand, in order not to invest all my spare time in this project.
It is besides only at the beginning of the year 2004, where I profited from an availability temporarily more significant
than I set up it on the Source Forge site.
A few times after the creation of the "bone" of the application, I lost this availability and the project remained
somewhat into a suspended state during the following months.
My aims in this project, in addition to trying to meet a need like that has been the case with the first version,
is to continue to develop my abilities. In such a way, no expiration date has been defined, and the project evolves
according to the availabilities and participations in the project.
Vis-a-vis the interest caused with regard to the first version, the philosophy of this new generation is to be able to be
adapted to the interested people, whatever are their nationality, the operating system used, and their geographical
situation.
To this end, I've decided to use wxWindows, which is now named wxWidgets, in order to produce a cross-platform source code.
With regard to the multi language's part, the set up solution uses a XML files' system (one for each managed language).
Finally, the client/server system is always under development to meet the third point.
